Phil Kesler and I are doing a few sets at the Barley Mow next Friday. Yes, there will be some Christmas tunes! Come on out!!!
Last week, Phil and I went to the Royal Oak to play their Open Mic, hosted by Eric St. Cyr. This week, we’re the feature act! We’re up first at 9pm, so come early and hear the harmonies and how full an acoustic and bass can sound!
Live local showcase. We open things up, then The Copper Altar and Maeve Lalonde finish. In the meantime, enjoy one of the songs we’ll be performing!
Phil and I are opening for Wild Rivers on Friday, March 11th at Zaphod’s. Rita Carter in between. $7 Cover. Come and hear some live talent!
So I missed the Grammy’s on Monday. Phil and I were playing at Zaphod’s for another Showcase on the eve of Ottawa’s Snowmageddon. On band didn’t show, so we were up second. Big crew of mine showed up, singlehandedly saving the night from being an empty club. More playing = more chemistry with me and Phil. Getting used to the duo, but we’re one drummer away from a whole new level.
Got home to find out that Kendrick won 5 and Buddy Guy took home some hardware. That’s enough for me.
We’re back at Zaphod’s on February 15th. In the meantime, here’s a video I did with him last week. Did a photoshoot, and decided to use my DSLR. If you’re in the area, come out. We’re on third!
It is extremely overwhelming to think about how many musicians there are in the world. Forget about the famous ones for a second. If there was a global census done, there would probably be a billion people who identify as a musician. Can sometimes seems like a vain pursuit. But I’m different. So is Phil.
Zaphod’s on Monday night. Come one, come all!
